Financial Assistance

Due to the frequencies and complexities of the services associated with comprehensive DBT, the providers in Greenville DBT Collective are out-of-network with all insurance companies. This allows our therapists to focus on providing clients with high-quality care that aligns with the evidence-based model of the treatment. We also understand this may create a financial burden for some who are seeking DBT, so we have compiled a list of resources below that may provide some financial support.

The Life Worth Living Project

The Life Worth Living Project is a nonprofit organization offering financial assistance to individuals and families who are in need of a comprehensive DBT program. Because the providers within Greenville DBT Collective do not take insurance, this nonprofit is a helpful resource for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of our programs.

Reimbursement Apps

There are many services that will submit out-of-network claims to a client’s insurance company on their behalf, often reducing some of the hassle associated with this process. This does not guarantee reimbursement, but may help streamline the process. Some of these include Mentaya, Reimbursify, and Thrizer.

Tips for Talking to Your Insurance Company

Greenville DBT Collective has compiled a series of tips and templates clients can use to talk with their insurance companies about paying for out-of-network treatment. This typically involves requesting something called a “single case agreement” and may often require some additional information to be completed by the provider, once treatment begins.
